【摘要】:Allofthesetestmethodscanbeusedforquantitativedeterminationsofbitumeninhot-mixedpavingmixturesandpavementsamplesforspecificationacceptance,serviceevaluation,control,andresearch.Eachmethodprescribesthesolventorsolventsandanyotherreagentsthatcanbeusedinthetestmethod.TestMethodD1856requiresthatMethodAbeusedwhenasphaltisrecoveredfromsolution.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthequantitativedeterminationofbitumeninhot-mixedpavingmixturesandpavementsamples.AggregateobtainedbythesetestmethodsmaybeusedforsieveanalysisusingTestMethodC117andTestMethodC136.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsaregiveninSection7.Note18212;Theresultsobtainedbythesetestmethodsmaybeaffectedbytheageofthematerialtested,witholdersamplestendingtoyieldslightlylowerbitumencontent.Bestquantitativeresultsareobtainedwhenthetestismadeonmixturesandpavementsshortlyaftertheirpreparation.Itisdifficulttoremovealltheasphaltwhensomeaggregatesareusedandsomechloridesmayremainwithinthemineralmatteraffectingthemeasuredasphaltcontent.
